Eating Disorder Treatment

I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders across the lifespan, including Binge Eating Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, and Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED). My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices while recognizing that every individual's relationship with food, body, and recovery is unique.

I believe that healing is not measured by a number on a scale, but by increased freedom, flexibility, and trust in oneself. My work is informed by principles of body neutrality, radical acceptance, and weight-inclusive care. Together, we work toward reducing eating disorder behaviors, improving quality of life, and developing a more peaceful relationship with food and the body.

Recovery often requires a collaborative approach. I work closely with physicians, registered dietitians, psychiatrists, family members, and other treatment providers to help support medical stability and comprehensive care when appropriate. For clients whose treatment plan includes weight monitoring, blind weights can be obtained in office in a manner that minimizes distress and supports recovery-focused goals.

My goal is to provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered as they move toward lasting recovery.

ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder)

I provide specialized treatment for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), helping children, adolescents, and adults expand food variety, reduce anxiety around eating, and improve nutritional well-being. ARFID is more than "picky eating" it can significantly impact health, social functioning, and daily life.

My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, and gradual exposure strategies tailored to each individual's needs and sensory experiences. Together, we explore the thoughts, fears, physical sensations, and emotional responses that may contribute to food avoidance or restriction.

Treatment focuses on building confidence with new foods, increasing flexibility around eating, reducing anxiety, and creating sustainable progress at a pace that feels both challenging and manageable. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients can approach food with curiosity rather than fear and develop a more comfortable, nourishing relationship with eating.
